CalPERS, through the fund, supports increasing California prosperity by investing in underserved areas – influencing job creation, wage prosperity, and the economic competitiveness of underserved regions.

The Golden State Investment Fund has invested in 17 direct co-investments and 16 partnerships. In total, the Golden State Investment Fund has invested in over 98 companies with more than 474 facilities and 16,035 employees in California.*

Golden State Investment Fund portfolio companies have grown California employees by 3% since investment, compared to
-7% overall employment growth in the State over the same time period.*
