The Golden State Investment Fund manages $500 million of capital dedicated to investing in compelling private equity opportunities focused in California. As part of CalPERS‘ California Initiative, the Golden State Investment Fund seeks to generate superior returns while generating ancillary benefits within California.

The Golden State Investment Fund is currently closed to new investments. However, Hamilton Lane, the Fund's manager, continues to evaluate opportunities for compelling California private equity investments on behalf of CalPERS. All new investment opportunities will be considered for direct investment by CalPERS.
